This Minden Grill Company 30,000 BTU Master Grill has been working perfectly for me since day one.

I received the grill in after just a couple of days (with free shipping and no sales taxes).I spent about 3o minutes assembling it without the instructions (I was hungry and it looked simple). The grill looked great. The only problem was that I assembled one piece backwards so the hose would not connect properly.I had to rewind what I did and assembled it correctly (so follow those simple directions).Soon there after the Tuna steaks were cooking.

This quality grill has worked perfectly from then on out.It fires right up with the presto igniter. You can control three internal burners quickly get the temperature to the optimum temperature (temperature gauge works fine).

The grill is the right size for most families or get together, looks great (we went with the forest green) and is simple to work with.

I realize after it arrived that I had better then expected grill for the long haul so I came back to the site and upgraded to the bamboo cutting board (heck only $14), the side burner and a cover to keep this master grill looking good.

This grill is a solid value and I highly recommend it.

Previously a Fire Magic grill owner, we recently constructed an outdoor built-in kitchen for a remodel of our new home. Budget constraints kept us from getting another Fire Magic but we wanted to stay in the R.H. Peterson family and went with the American Outdoor Grill line instead.

Wow! For the price, I would have wasted my money getting another Fire Magic. Built with similar quality, esthetics, amd ease of operation, this grill would have fooled me if I didn't see the AOG logo. RHP has a great product here for the weekend griller and at a really affordable price for this level of grill quality products.

Char-Griller 4000 Grillin' Pro Gas Grill Review

Char-Griller 4000 Grillin' Pro Gas Grill
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Someone does need to rewrite the instructions as they are somewhat vague, although if someone has common sense he can figure it out. The most that needs improving is at the start with the legs. If one slips the leg cross bars on, then he can see which holes to use when attaching the legs. Also when installing the wheels, use a small block of wood and hammer to get on properly. When ready for the grill body I tightened up all the bolts on the stand as they will be much easier to reach and much lighter to tip upside down. All the rest was pretty good except the ignighter wires, they need a needle nose pliers to get them on (they are very tight and could bend them or not get them on at all or loose and fall off later)
I really like the ignighter on each burner, and lights so well and effortlessly with being battery operated. Assembly was a little over and hour and wasnt to bad. Be sure to check the gas lines as I had a loose nut that just needed tightening.
The grilling is the best part as having 4 burners means you havenice even heat with no cold spots. I mostly cooked on low or a little higher and temp still was at 450. I would recomend lightly coating the inside to season the grill. Also i would use cooking oil every other time on the grates to prevent sticking.
The Salmon and Pork chops came out great on my first try so I think this grill will be a pleasure to use.I did order this at char griller website for $199. plus $80. shippingChar-Griller 4000 Grillin' Pro Gas Grill

Weber 1811001 Summit E-420 Natural Gas Grill, Black
Average Reviews:

This is my 3rd grill bought in the last 15 years.Had 2 Broil Kings. My previous grills did an adequate job but having been using the E-420 Summit for the past 5 months has made me realize why Weber is the "King" of BBQ grills.Prior to purchasing, I was convinced this time I would go "high end" so I checked out brands such as Vermont Castings, DCS and others in the top level.I settled on the Weber after visiting the dealers and comparing the materials.Weber has the best price/quality available. This purchase was made during the winter months (best pricing from dealers who are out to unload inventory).
Performance has resulted in the food tasting great with even temperature throughout the majority of cooking surface.Unlike my previous grills which had identified hot spots, BBQ'ng and Grilling can be done without continuous shifting of food to attain eveness. When cooking chicken (with skin) or other fatty meats, flare-ups are kept to a minimum with the grill design, as well as drainage and clean-ups.
The packaging is well thought out with minimal assembly required.Weber after sales service is likewise, just as excellent as the product. After the initial hook-up to the natural gas line, the side burner would not light up consistently (sometimes taking as many as 10 pushes on the ignitor).Customer Service immediately gave me suggestions to further trouble-shoot and when nothing worked, swiftly sent me a new burner ring and it has been "one click" since.
My other grills were good but this one is great! They lasted more than 7 years each but the Weber looks like its going to last a lifetime.I highly recommend this product to those who love grilling often. My tip is to get the natural gas model as the burners are powerfull.Having the propane version, a spare tank plus countless trips for fill-ups, will be a necessity.

This is the Ferrari of Grills! everything you need, smoker, rotisserie, searing station, side stove burner and 6 grill burners. It's just the best, I have been using it for over a month now, and I can say it the best grill I have ever owned and will ever own.

Price: Its expensive but you get what you pay for, all stainless steel and cast iron, really well built and has been put together the right way.

Unpacking: It comes in a big box, and you need two or even three people to get it off the skid that is comes on.

Assembly: Very easy, if you know how to turn and screw and read directions, very very easy

Wife's note: If you give this to your husband for fathers day he'll love you for it! I bought it for my self, but my wife wishes she gave it to me for fathers day.

Although I have been a staunch Weber supporter for many years, I made a mistake and walked away from what I know and loved in search for "bigger and better".What a mistake that was.Although it looked good out of the box, it didn't last long and after two years never did figure out how to really cook with it.So I came back to my Summit series 470.I does everything that you could possibly need from 4 powerful burners that produce more than enough heat and nice clean flames, to a sear burner, a built in rotisserie, a built in smoker, a built in tank full/empty indicators, storage space for the rotisserie parts when not in use, and all the more normal mundane stove top burner and warrming tray as well as good workspace. Most importantly, everything works under your control and I am now the master chef of the neighborhood again.Couldn't be happier.
If grilling is important to you, and you can afford the price tag, this is the grill for you.

Weber Summit S-620 LP Gas Grill - Stainless Steel Review

Weber Summit S-620 LP Gas Grill - Stainless Steel
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Three basic issues with the grill:
1: If you don't cover it when it rains the rainwater floods the grease trap and floats cooking grease all over the inside or onto your deck/patio. Why pay all the money for 301 Stainless and have to cover the grill?
2. The shelves on the left and right are concave so they collect rain water about 1/8 inch deep.
3. A mild direct wind into the front of the grill causes blow outs when you are only lighting two or three burners.
Bottom Line: $1700 for a poorly designed fancy looking unit. Don't purchase it!

I've never met a Weber grill owner who didn't remain completely loyal to the brand.Weber customers will never buy anything else.I can't speak to their less expensive lines (some are made in China), but the premium lines are first rate made in the US of A and the EP-310 is a great example. This is a grill which I own and it will last for many, many years. This unit is made of 302 stainless steel, the GOOD kind, not the inferior 420 stuff most of the grills at Lowes are made with. Some parts are cast alumnium and a few cabinet parts are painted metal but nothing that will rust.Without going on feature by feature, this grill was designed to cook well and very efficiently and last a long time to boot. The thick stainless steel cooking grates are key.Anything else (cast iron, porcelinized iron etc) will rust away too soon and they are not cheap to replace. These will last virtually a lifetime. Many cool looking grills you see are affordable because they chince on the grates. You get a grill for $200 and a year later you are buying grates for $100.Take my word for it...buy a Weber grill. This model is a top shelf choice. The Genesis S-310 is the same but the cover is stainless and it costs $100 more.I find stainless too hard to keep nice looking. The black porcelin cover is easy to keep clean.Oh, and there is a sister model to the EP-310...the EP320.It is the same but has a side burnr.Happy grilling!

Product Description:
For great flavor, gourmet searing, even cooking, multiple courses, easy cleaning, and good looks, nothing beats the Weber Genesis outdoor grill. An enclosed cart is great for storing cooking utensils and grilling supplies out of sight. Painted steel doors and shroud and stainless-steel handles look sharp, resist corrosion, and are easy to clean. An accent-colored, painted steel frame offers plenty of cooking stability. A center-mounted thermometer makes it easy to monitor progress. And, for optimal durability over the years, Weber designed the Genesis with cast aluminum end caps.
The cooking system, rated at 42,000 BTUs, includes three seamless stainless-steel burners and an electronic ignition system for easy starts. Weber's stainless-steel, angled Flavorizer bars prevent fat- and grease-fueled flare-ups that over-sear foods. Rather than unwanted flames, juices drip on the bars where they sizzle and smoke, adding extra flavor to grilled chicken, steaks, and kabobs. And, if Bob wants burgers, Stacy wants steaks, and Vicky wants veggie burgers, there's plenty of room for all with 507 square inches of primary cooking area. Great for keeping the buns and side dishes warm while the entrees sizzle, the warming rack measures 130 square inches, for a total cooking area of 637 square inches.
More great features include two stainless-steel work surfaces, two heavy-duty locking front casters, and two heavy-duty swivel back casters. Don't know what to grill first? Weber throws in a handy cookbook so you can get summer grilling underway. The grill measures 30 by 60 by 64-1/2 inches with the lid open.

Weber Summit S-470.Whether a propane model or natural gas, if you're not REALLY into serious grilling, this unit may be a bit over your head.If you *are*, you'll not find a better grill on Planet Earth! This bad-boy has it all:Four MEGA-BTU "main" burners, a center sear-station burner, a smoker box burner and a dedicated IR rotisserie burner.Oh yeah, and a ultra-high power side burner, too.

Your charcoal-grilling buddies tease you because you can't get that nasty charcoal lighter (carcinogen!) "taste" with a gas grill?Ha!You can now - and go 'em one better!Use the smoker box and any number of REAL wood chips and you get the taste and odor of apple, alderwood, hickory, mesquite, oak or cherry w/o the CHT chemical dangers!

It's simply incredible!Yeah, it ain't a "hardware-store el-cheapo" either so spend the cash and you're getting a GENUINE Weber-built grill to last - no joke - a life-time.Check out everyone else's warranty and you'll jump on the Weber wagon - if you haven't already.

Weber **IS** quality grilling.Period.You can spend more, you can buy bigger - but ya can't buy better.

Feeding more people than this rather large grill can handle - with EASE?The Summit S-670 is the King-Kong big-brother of the S-470.If you can't cook on either of these two grills, then just give up, sport - and run on down to Burger King!

Broil King Model 94944 Crown 40 Liquid Propane 44,000 BTU Gas Grill with Side Burner Review

Broil King Model 94944 Crown 40 Liquid Propane 44,000 BTU Gas Grill with Side Burner
Average Reviews:

I was looking for a propane grill in the $400 range to replace a 15-year-old Weber Spirit and saw that Broil King received favorable ratings on About.com.

This product has a nice, even temperature across the whole cooking surface using Broil-King's Stainless Steel Super 8 burner -- it's basically a figure 8 with flame ports on the inside and outside edges. The flow valves turn very easily over a wide range of motion to provide excellent control over the flame and heat. The grill also includes the Flav-R-Wave bar which, like the vaporizer bars found in many other grills, burns off grill drippings for added flavor. The side trays fold down for easy storage (nice feature!).Assembly was almost too easy.

There were a few parts problems with the grill.Several slats on the cast-iron cooking grates were broken off (skimpy packaging) and the hood-mounted thermometer reads about 150 degrees even with the hood open on a cool day.A quick call to Broil-King's parts department and warranty replacements for both were on the way.

The left burner is a bit small and underpowered -- it's good for keeping sauces warm but doesn't provide enough space, say, for boiling up some corn in a pot. I would have also liked to see a fuel gauge included (I found a good inline gauge for $12 at a local big-box store).

All in all, it's a great grill for a great price and strongly recommend it.The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because of the packaging/parts problems.

I'm no grill expert and this was my first new grill purchase.I needed natural gas connection at an affordable price, so I went with the BK Crown 40. Some notes: Even though it's natural gas the area behind the doors is still designed to hold a LP tank. Why? That should have been transformed into a usable storage area. The hardward used to put together the grill is fairly cheap in my opinion. The main grilling area is pretty good quality, the burner, the cast iron grills, the top. Lesser quality: the doors, the base, wheels, storage cabinet, hardware. It's almost impossible to find a cheaper nat gas grill with a side burner, so maybe it's still a good deal for the price, but they could of really improved this grill for an extra $15 in parts.

Char-Broil 463271309 M580 Quantum 4-Burner Infrared Gas Grill
Average Reviews:

Well, I have owned the four burner Quantum for one year now. I purchased it at Lowes for $450.00It's held up well, however, some shock adjustment was necessary, especially after the first few rains that it survived. It's kept covered, so I was in shock to see that the grates completely rusted after about a month on non-use and a few rain storms. However, the rust was only superficial, and cleaned off easily. All of the other exterior stainless steel does indeed stain if not kept relatively clean. Also, keep in mind that the tops of the side work tables and the cabinet base are not stainless steel, just painted with silver paint. While those surfaces have not rusted, any grease splatter left on the paint will permanently stain it.The thermometer on the hood was immediately rendered mostly useless by overnight dew after one nice summer night that the grill was not covered up.It still registers the last 1/3rd of the scale, but it's stuck 2/3rds of the way.Much of the silkscreened black printing, especially the safety instructions,on the bullnose of the grill have started to wipe off. There is some slight pitting of the chrome handle mounts on the lid, but no actual rust.

Regarding the performance.I almost NEVER clean the grates. It performs well even with stuff on the perforated infrared panel.I normally just preheat the grill for about 15 to 20 minutes, and most of what ever was previously there turns to ash.It still sears steaks beautifully after one year.

I made sure to contact Char-Broil within the warranty period to get replacement parts for ALL of the grates, the thermometer, and the lid handle.I should have also asked for a bullnose with readable silkscreening. So far the gill has performed very well. With regular cleaning and maintenance, the original grates will probably not rust through if they are regularly used.If the grill is not regularly used, the grates, and firebox will quickly rust away, probably within three to four years. However, with replacement parts, this grill should be serviceable for at least five to seven years. And, it will probably look reasonably good after that time.

It's not a "high-end" multi thousand dollar Stainless Steel grill that will become a family heirloom. For the $450 that I paid, including the in-warranty replacement parts received, it should last a reasonable amount of time, while still having the clean appearance of a Stainless Steel grill! But most importantly, it really does perform just as well as the multi thousand dollar grills.I have used Viking, DCS, Dynasty, and Ducane grills and this Char-Broil can do anything they can, (but it reaches searing temperature much faster and with better results)!

Weber Summit S-660 NG Grill (2870501) Stainless Steel Review

Weber Summit S-660 NG Grill Stainless Steel

This is one great grill. I have it for over one year now. Was fairly easy to assemble. Cooks evenly. This will sear the thickest if steaks. Can reach 700 deg or will slow cook with no problem. The best part no warping or discoloration of metals easy to clean.

Cons the ad photos show sides which do not come with unit and needs cover! Rain water gets inside from back and fills grease catcher and makes a mess if it over spills.

Holland Companion PROPANE Portable Grill, No Flare-up BBQ Grill Review

Holland Companion PROPANE Portable Grill, No Flare-up BBQ Grill
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
In have owned the Holland Companion Outdoor Oven for several years.I refer to it as an oven, because that is what it is, not a grill. The instructions tell you to cook with the cover closed at all times. This is because it cooks like an oven, not a grill. This is fine if you like baking steaks, burgers, hot dogs, but then why not save money on all the gas this thing uses, and cook in your oven? Drippings run ineffectively into a pan without vaporizing, thus no smoke flavor. I agree there is no flareup, this is because nothing is burning, just baking. Very poor design to say the least. The legs are unweildy, the stacks are loose fitting, and fall apart. It s somewhat well built of stainless steel, but even if were made of Kryptonite, it wouldn't cook effectively. If you like sizzling steaks, pink in the center, this grill won't do it. If you like hot dogs and burgers with black grill marks, juicy inside-not with this over-priced gas hog!! Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere when considering an outdoor GRILL. But if you still would like an outdoor portable oven, I have one available CHEAP!!(Hurry, my trash pickup is Wednesday!!).

Weber 1810001 Summit S-420 Natural Gas Grill, Stainless Steel Review

Weber 1810001 Summit S-420 Natural Gas Grill, Stainless Steel

(More customer reviews)
I replaced a grill that had cast iron everything. It would take 20 minutes or longer to get the grill to 400 degrees. This new Weber takes only about 5 minutes to hit 500 degrees. I love the 4 burner front to back design. It is a design that gets me back to the days of indirect heat cooking I got from my Weber charcoal grill. I have cooked steak, burgers, chicken and a Wisconsin favorite brats. This is the first time I have a side burner on a grill. I've used it to heat a few things and appreciate it.

I live in an area that has a constant breeze that was always a problem for other grills. The wind would get into the grill between the base and the cover and mess with the flame and cool the food. This grill has an inner cover that connects to the base and blocks the wind. This makes for very even temperature.

I was told this grill is manufactured in China and I was a little nervious about the quality of it. As far as I can tell, it is very well made and all the stainless is very thick. I looked at a couple other stainless steel grills and there is a noticable difference. Even the lower line of Webers have thinner metal.

The grill comes preassembled except for the two side tables. Two screws each and the grill was pretty much done. The grates and flavor bars had to be put into place. I was preheating in no time.

Take backyard grilling to the next level with the power and performance of Weber's Summit grill. The Summit S-420 gas grill features a stainless steel enclosed cart with chrome-plated cast aluminum handles. An accent-colored painted steel frame and stainless steel shroud with polished handle and trim will shimmer brightly on the patio or deck. A center-mounted thermometer makes it easy to monitor temperatures.
The cooking system, rated at 48,800 Btu's, includes 4 stainless steel burners and Weber's Snap-Jet individual burner ignition system. The Summit S-420 gas grill also has a 12,000 Btu input flush-mount side burner lets you prepare sauces and side dishes right on the grill.

(More customer reviews)
Although I didn't buy this from Amazon (it cost less buying online from ACE w/free delivery to my local store), I decided to leave a review here because this is such a great grill!Made in Canada (which could have something to do with it), this grill, which cost me only $230 ($250 here) is everything a $400 grill should be and maybe more.Large, hot, highly adjustable (with a temperature gauge to help you judge), sturdy and seemingly well-designed and durable.Only time will tell on these last two points (we only just bought our grill in March 2010) but previous owners have vouched for workmanship in other reviews.

We use our grill 2-3 times a week (less in the winter, more in the hottest weeks), and we're going to be diligent in covering this grill because we want it to last.Maybe that's what makes these grills durable?Their owners love them so much they take better care of them!

The "flare guard" feature seems to work very well - it allows you to grill at very hot temps without the burnt-black char. You get a nice black "sear", but not the crunchy, bitter burnt parts, so the flame must not be as out-of-control as it can get in some gas grills that get too hot.

Another nice surprise is the warmer grate... often this is in the way of the primary cooking surface (so we've always done without) but this one swings way back when you open the lid, so we haven't felt the need to remove it.And it IS handy for buns or already-cooked-enough food.

The only reason I gave this a "4" is because it probably can't compete with high-end grills, not that I would know because I've never bought one.But if the rating were strictly for value (rather than function/features/quality) I would give it 5 stars without hesitation.
